[Announcement of the 2026 Seoul Tech Scholarship]

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is pleased to announce the selection process for the 2026 Seoul Tech Scholarship, a program designed to support and nurture outstanding international talents in science and engineering. 

We encourage foreign students in science and engineering who wish to continue their master’s degree research in Korea to apply this program.

1. Eligibility

- Prospective international students planning to enroll in a master’s degree program in science or engineering (STEM)

- Applicants whose parents or themselves are Korean nationals are not eligible

2. Application Period

- Seoul Scholarship Foundation Application:
  December 22, 2025 – March 6, 2026 (4:00 PM KST): Online submission via Google Form
  By March 25, 2026: Submission of supporting documents by mail

- University Application: April 21 – April 30, 2026 (4:00 PM KST): Applications must be submitted through the online application system

※ Applicants to the University of Seoul are required to submit applications separately to both the Seoul Scholarship Foundation and the University.

3. Required Documents

- Required Forms (one copy each, using designated formats): Application Form, Personal Statement, Study Plan, Letter of Recommendation, Applicant Agreement, and Agreement     on the Collection and Use of Personal Information

- Supporting Documents: Academic Transcript, Certificate of Graduation, Nationality Verification Documents, Apostille Confirmation

- Language Proficiency Requirements: refer to the document titled “2026 Admissions Guideline”, p.26

 1) Has achieved (or expected) level 3 or higher on the TOPIK

 2) Has completed (or expected) level 3 or higher at the Korean Language and Culture Program(KLCP) of the University of Seoul.

 3) Has completed (or expected) level 4 or higher of the regular curriculum at an official Korean language institution of a domestic university which is certified by the International      Education Quality Assurance System(IEQAS)

 4) Has completed the intermediate or advanced level in the Korean Government Support Program for Overseas Koreans of the National Institure for International Education(NIIED)

 5) Those who have completed an intermediate or higher level of Korean language course at a local King Sejong Institute.

 6) Standardized English Proficiency test score: a. TOEFL iBT 71 or higher b. IELTS 5.5 or higher c. TEPS 327 or higher

 7) Has submitted a written by a full-time professor from the department of The University of Seoul to which the applicant is         applying.

한국에서 이공계 석사과정 연구를 지속할 외국인 이공계 학생들의 많은 관심과 지원 바랍니다.

1. 지원자격 : 이공계 석사 과정 유학 예정자 (단, 본인과 본인의 부모가 한국인인 자는 지원 불가능)

2. 지원기간

 - 서울장학재단 지원 : 2026년12월22일~2026년3월6일(4pm KST): 구글폼 온라인 제출

 - 대학 지원 : 2026년 4월21일 ~ 2026년 4월30일(4pm KST), 원서접수 사이트에서 접수 진행

  ※ 서울시립대학교는 서울장학재단 및 대학교 각각 원서접수를 해주셔야 합니다.

3. 제출서류

- 지정서식(신청서, 자기소개서, 학업수행계획서, 추천서, 동의서, 개인정보 수집 및 활용 동의서 각 1부)

- 증빙서류(성적증명서, 졸업증명서, 국적 증빙서류, 아포스티유 확인서류)

- 어학조건 : 첨부파일(2026학년도 모집요강) p.7 참고

1) 한국어능력시험(TOPIK PBT/IBT) 3급 이상 취득(예정)자

2) 서울시립대학교 한국어교육센터 3급 이상 수료(예정)자

3) 국내 교육국제화역량 인증제 인증대학 소속 한국어 교육기관 정규 교육과정 4급 이상 수료(예정)자

4) 국립국제교육원(NIIED) 재외동포 국내교육과정 한국이해과정 중고급 수료자

5) 세종학강 한국어 중급 과정 이상 수료자

6) 공인영어능력시험 중 한 가지 이상 조건을 만족하는 자(a. TOEFL iBT 71 이상 b. IELTS 5.5 이상 c. TEPS 327 이상)

7) 서울시립대학교에 지원하는 학과의 소속 전임교수가 작성한 <외국인 대학원생 추천서>를 제출한 자
